Piece of SwedenFika
The story behind the design:
To have a fika must be one of the most typical Swedish things one can do. For starters, ”fika” is one of the few words in the Swedish language that cannot be properly translated. The Swedish fika is a traditional coffee-break, just as defined as the British tea-time. A traditional fika consists of strong coffee, a cinnamon bun and an assortment of small cookies, ideally seven kinds. The fika is generally enjoyed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. In my family, fika is one of the social staples of everyday life. This has been the moment when the family has gotten together, sitting on the porch in the summer, enjoying the fresh air from the woods, or around the kitchen table by candlelight on windy winter afternoons.
